I have no idea who you are but any DS2 enjoyer gets a view, a like and a comment from me. It might feel weird at first but this ended up as the dark souls with the most hours played in my steam library. It's still a good game no matter how much people want to hate

This game was not quite what I was expecting. Other than the gank squads, this game is more hilarious than I thought it would be. The DS2 community is wild. I'm eager to see more of this game.

Calli denied that character creation will takie 30 minutes around 26:50. She finished character creation at 51:38, but it started around 21:57. So, yeah.

You've had a good start! There's going to be stuff you'll miss, but don't sweat it. Although sometimes for stuff like accessing DLC, the game strongly relies on outside information. Partway through, I decided I'd load up the game and make my own character (I was not the invaders though). I usually die once or none in the beginning of the game. I ended up dying more than you! Has Mori cursed me with death...? Correcting some chatters: You can power stance with many dissimilar weapons, including a sword and axe combo. You couldn't powerstance with that combo because your dexterity stat was too low. Two-handing also halves the strength requirement of weapons. Some deadbeats thought it's a 1.5 strength multiplier which would lower STR requirements to 2/3, like the other Souls games. That first titanite lizard is always tricky, we think the devs put it in there to encourage players to experiment. The broken straight sword doesn't do enough damage, so my go-to is to jump attack with the axe you find in there. I like that you ultimately got creative to solve the problem. I also just realized that the (infamous) small pigs in Majula are a good analog for the lizards... ADP received a lot of attention. The speed up to drinking estus is minor. (Tip: You drink estus faster if you stand still.) For a deprived character, 20 ADP will give you enough agility for the same frames as the DS1 medium roll. 2:08:43 Fromsoft allegedly patched out hacked game-breaking items. Allegedly. Now instead of getting you banned, hackers give you items that outright crash your game upon viewing, like poison-infused binoculars. That's why the community made their own anticheat, although I doubt you're allowed to use it. The item you got from the blue sentinel was "Seed of a Giant Tree", which you may recognize from DS3. It's a good segue to what happened later: You're probably wondering why the entire area (and ordeal) with Dennis was a thing, and the game doesn't explain some of this at all. The Seed is what Armorer Dennis was guarding, it's that massive sc****m-shaped seed hanging from that tree in Dennis's spawn room that you missed. Every time you get invaded by a player or NPC, a new seed gets a 50% chance to spawn. The function is the same as DS3, it lets enemies attack invaders. A common farming tactic is to repeatedly die to Dennis while harvesting so you can get a large quantity of seeds.

Gutslope got Reincarnated and sent on another whirlwind adventure or maybe he was in an alternate universe. I don't think we know but one thing we do know is we spent 41 minutes in the character customization screen and then proceeded to just explore and run around and deaths happen. On top of a hint of Calli most likely being scared of dragons again which I think the souls games did something to her state of dragons lol. In any case, glad to see you play this game Calli and great job with the stream as always!

Traps and tricks, questionable level design, ambushes, enemy ganks and cool but weird to learn mechanics, wellcome to your first step into DS2! A mess of ideas that sometimes work great and most other times not so much, its gonna be a blast seein you make your way through this, thanks for a fun first stream Reaps! Good luck with work
