Something I noticed in the final act, Jimmy has guilt hallucinations about Daisuke (the flowers from his Hawaiian shirt in the vent + photo in the graveyard), Swansea (the axes in the wall and his face appearing in that scene where you can't turn around), and Curly (the eyeball and other obvious examples). The only other things Jimmy hallucinates about are the company/mascot and his fear of having a baby. But if you noticed, he never feels ANY guilt/remorse over Anya. NONE. He doesn't even acknowledge her corpse in the med bay. That's 100% an intentional detail from the devs showing how little Jimmy respects her or cares about her as a person. He literally only feels bad about the MEN he killed. Also he feels no guilt about his baby either, those hallucinations just highlight how much Jimmy fears his own child (and clearly that's why he crashed the ship in the first place to try and kill it).

Even with all the discussions surrounding this game, one deeply upsetting detail that I've rarely seen talked about is what finally pushed Anya over the edge. The game hides it very well on your first playthrough, but if you go back and rewatch Anya's last scene with Jimmy before locking herself in medical, with the full context of their circumstances, you realize the mental anguish she went through during that conversation. By this point, it's been five months since the ship crashed, and despite Jimmy never once showing any remorse for what he did to her, Anya held on - in hope that "our worst moments don't make us monsters". In the final scene at the locker, she even tried to reach out to Jimmy with a joyful attitude, complimenting and thanking him for helping her out. Imagine the strength she must have had in her heart to be able to do that with her literal rapist. And he threw it right back in her face. "Mouthwashing" is a well-written psychological horror, but I think people often miss that the truest horror of the story doesn't lie with either of the two characters whose perspectives we follow.

I'm a firm believer that nothing needs to be as well written as the villain of a story. They need to be credible enough to fit into the tale but also terrible enough that you'd hate to cross paths with them. This wasn't a tale of cartoon villainy, this is the kind of evil that we see in people all around us in regular every day life. It's a bit too easy to point all the fingers at that one person, but I can't help but feel like no one else wanted to do what was needed, how can the whole crew keep on going aware of all that they knew? Not one of them until the very end thought enough was enough. The glory and the blame was with the captain and they all preferred it that way. The most terrifying part is how real it all feels, for all the dystopian scenery, one could easily imagine the same tale developing in any setting were humans and their base emotions are involved.

2:44:14 honestly a brilliant moment to release the language filter. Made that line even more impactful than if everything was read verbatim.

This game was really something, I really didn't understand why it was suddenly trending but now I do This game is so well written in a way that it very accurately portrays the side of "The Monster" instead of "The Survivors" and it does it in a way that shows every single step of how "The Man" turned into "The Monster" and it does not shy away of making it face the consequences of its (or his in this case) actions, it also shows the mental degradation of everyone on the Ship by having someone who is not only a bad leader but also a bad Man Jimmy "fixed" his mistake, by making everything Curly's fault and thus making him the scapegoat to every single mistake he made Curly trusted that he knew Jimmy better than anyone but he actually didn't, and that trust cost everything not only to him but to everyone in the ship Looking it back, Jimmy only feels guilty because he got caught and was "forced" to deal with it, but i don't believe he feels any real remorse beyond the fact that Curly tried to help him until the end

This may sound harsh but Curly and Jimmy's relationship is textbook toxic relationship and the game accurately portrays it. Thanks for the stream Kronii, you make the playthrough so immersive and the final audible "F*** you" by Swansea was a nice touch.

This game is great, it really does the perspective of 2 characters in an amazing way and shows how each of them feel in both their most desperate moments. They show super well how Curly tries his best to make everyone get along well (to a fault) and how Jimmy only ever thinks about himself and his own feelings. One detail that I didn't quite get and after shuffling around on the internet a bit is how Polle and the baby connect exactly. From what I understood (and might not be quite right) is that after Jimmy did the bad thing to Anya, Anya could only sleep/feel secure on the lounge, where there was the Polle statue that made sound if anyone walked nearby. Since the statue serverd as alarm for her, Jimmy couldn't do bad things to her on the dark anymore, which is why he told in the psych evaluations that cartoon horses made him horny, he meant that he wanted to do more to Anya but the horse was in the way.

From the thumbnail you made for this stream, I thought this would be just a horror game with the monster. But to think of it, you have really excellent taste with the games, so I believed this would be much more than my guess. It was. This game was very impressive. Not just about how intense the images and story of the game are, but from how they describe and unfold the story, it creates an immersive experience. I really liked the way the game shows us what happened to the characters. Going back and forth in timeline based on crashed situations is really well designed. Show us the situation and make us wonder what happened by not showing or telling entirely everything, then move on to a different time, like a few months ago, and give us the answer or hint to figure out about it.  I feel like that kind of way to unfold the story is a very good way to intrigue the players. It could cause confusion if they are not well connected or foreshadowed by the character in certain situations that happened during the game, but the developers did really well with this game.  Interesting transition too. I thought my computer was crashed for a second. Also, how they show and create the characters' personalities from the lines and their action were really nice.  Oh, and your voice acting made it more awesome. For example, I really liked the part when Daisuke stuck in the foam and had a conversation with Swansea before the crash while reparing the vent. You really put life into those characters with your acting and make that situation more immersive. With all this together, today feels like I watched a very, very good movie with your playthrough. Oh it was really fun time. Horrible and shocking story with this one pathetic coward, but it was so much fun time with nice games and discussions about it. Listening to your opinion about the game is always the best part. Honestly, I was really tempting to look up about this game, but I'm super glad and feel rewarded for not doing it. I'm so glad that I waited for you. Great start for this week with nice game! I really can't wait for tomorrow. Always happy to see you having fun, whether it's collab stream or not, but I'm so excited that I think you can have a lot of fun while playing.
