About three months back, shot in the hand (story on my channel). Shot Friday, emergency room four hours. Home that night. Went back to work Tuesday. I'm in hard surface repair; lot of elbow grease, two handed work to boot. It sucked, I got better. Bullet went thru palm, out thru wrist. .380 personal defense round, full expansion. I still have the bullet. Found it later. Prescribed antibiotics and 400mg Tylenol. The getting shot part was maybe 9/10 on pain scale. The next two weeks was about 4/10 constantly. Had to keep moving it so it didn't heal tight. Fun.

So I had really bad pain similar to this. It eventually would go away, but then come back. The only thing that worked to keep it from coming back was increasing the amount and types of physical activity, riding my compact frame road bike, my welding job. Idk not sure if it is nerve pain, could also be some of the small stabilizing muscles in spasm. That was my problem. I would say acquire heat pad, for starters.

I just did a MRI today for my left shoulder (blue collar work and decades of mosh pit);and i fell asleep in it. Warm machine, vibration from machine, white noise from machine. Scooter go sleepy.

Friend was in pain for months plus he had drop foot. He thought it was arthritis but regular pain meds were worthless. Someone told him it was probably a pinched nerve and to look up his symptoms on Youtube. He did and found some stretches that really helped. Pain went away fast and stayed away so long as he kept up with the stretches. Hope this helps

I have the same problems you describe. At first the docs said carpal tunnel. Ended up it being degenerative disks c4,c5,c6. Get an MRI.

Hope you find something that helps, Kirshe! When I have pain in my back and neck and shoulders, I find it's usually caused by whatever chair I spend most of my time in. (It's tough to find decent chairs these days!) (I've also had two rear-end collisions that injured my back, one twenty-five years ago, another ten years ago. Combination of the two things, I'm sure. The doctors weren't much help to me either, neither were the insurance companies.)

Poor little Foxu🥺 Sounds like nerves get choked, probably the thin ones connecting to the bone; your docs must be overworked or just cynical hypocrites. The tissue swelling around the nerve adds to the pressure and sends even more conflicting messages to the central. So this would be my start therapy point; using arnica salve (best high concentrated) to dampen the bruises and swelling, but i'm uncertain if warm or cold patches would help🤔 Nerves don't like cold, but it minimizes swelling, warmth is good for the blood flow but could make it worse by adding to the swollen tissue.
