This is definitely the kind of game where you have to remember the controls so taking long breaks between sessions will be a little painful if you like it enough to continue playing

A good idea would be to try and lower both their HP evenly then kill them close together to completely avoid Phase 2

I had a feeling you'd enjoy the DMC cheesiness and I'm glad you're having so much fun! If I recall correctly DMC1 started as a prototype for RE4 but a creative miracle happened along the way

Unfortunately this is not DMC2, so guns will really only be useful for keeping your combo going until you can start using a Melee weapon again.

FYI specials like your launch that are Lock+back triangle are directional based on where your character is facing and not the camera so if he's facing the screen locked on you have to hit up+tirangle

You learned DMC combat quite fast! Hopfully you will remember it next time. The key point of DMC is to hold lock on (to attack and roll) and release lock on (to jump). Once you get handful of it, you will feel like god-ish

i'm so glad more people are experiencing the peak of combat, and for what it's worth i'm the lone dante preferrer out there, i do still love vergil though cause how can you not

The fact the IryS doesn't even know such game exist makes me think she's is pretty young, this game is from a golden era, a golden age, back when gaming is at its peak she has never seen like this before and there's a lot of these kinds of goofy stuff back in it's time.

I would recommend the first Devil May Cry if you like the others. Discouraging someone from playing DMC2 is sharing a broadly agreed upon opinion, most people didn't like the game when it came out and people don't like it much now, either. DMC1 was loved when it came out and now people act like the fact that it's older and had less to learn from make it unworthy of experiencing. It disappoints and saddens me. I played Devil May Cry 1, 3, and 4 for the first time in 2016. I loved them all, they're all fun, stylish, and endlessly charming. DMC is one of the two series that made me truly love video games again and be happy I played them. I hope IRys will give it a shot.

It's fun watching this and thinking back to when I played this a long time ago, cause I took about as long to beat Cerberus as you did, but you definitely beat Agni/ Rudra in way lees time than I did Power of 1000 screaming voices and really high gamer sense, you go IRyS!

This game series is just flat out fun, and the combat is difficult, but feels rewarding when you pull off those stylish finishers . I thought for sure that Dante would be able overtake 9s in the white-haired bishonen rankings, but I guess not quite yet .

I also expected DmC to be way more serious when I started playing Glad you finally played it! 3 white haired bishounens to collect in this franchise, it almost feels like a dating sim Take care of that throat IRyS!

Its totally expected that the Camera angles was the true final boss of this game GenkiRyS screamed and did a lot of noises today. Another game where you're really immersed and enjoying it. Welcome to the ultra STYLISH world of Devil May Cry! I hope this stream got you motivated! The party has started and it's time to rock! That was an awesome first venture into the world of DMC, IRyS! The game is a bit dated in many aspects but the combat holds extremely well in the modern gaming environment (just check out the AMAZING combos people can do in the game. They're crazy!). I've said this time and again before, but you're a MUCH better gamer than you think you are. I was legit impressed on how you adapted to the gameplay flow and are now pulling off good combos. And you didn't take long at any boss at all! Beginners are usually stuck at the Cerberus boss for hours. You have the makings of a master demon slayer! Will Dante win the whitehaired ikemen race? IRyS did amazing for someone who’s never played this kind of game before. After Cerberus, she pretty much cruised through other bosses like a champ! Kinda wish she could play the Switch version to make use of the new features, but ah well. I hope she’ll go on to play 4 and 5 after this, too.
