When you realize 9S was under a lot of mental stress, chain hacking into the emotionally awakening machine lifeforms and the random questions he keeps asking you in your first playthrough now make a lot more sense. Yoko Taro is a mean mastermind and i am sure you will agonizingly love the story as it unfolds into its many facets and possibilities.

9S, as a scanner unit, has innate hacking skills, this allows him to understand what the machines are saying and thinking, more than 2B.

Amnesia is one of the most important side quest for figuring out what's really going on.

Nice Job today Bae Now that you are on 9S route make sure to take your time to level up and do every side quest (or atleast the ones that interest you of course) because the enemies do not forgive even one or two levels lower than theirs And don't worry about oversleeping, we understand that you needed the extra sleep because of how hard you worked recently (and how hard you are working/will be working right now/in the future)

"noi spoilers" Can't tell if giving advice on controls is spoiling, though... When you get dual wielding back, definitely check out the [Light Attack] [Heavy Attack] animation with every weapon combination. With a [Jump] followed by a [Heavy Attack] ([Light Attack] on 9S) you can perform an uppercut attack, which gives you lots of height; perfect to skip the cube after visiting Masamune. [Glide] + [Any Attack] can extend your jump distance vertically, and [Glide] + [Pod Fire] is homing on nearby enemies, as well; perfect for flying units that are just perfectly out of melee range.

So much for sparing the tank this time. It even didn't do anything the first minute.
